University & College Job Resources

How to use them and get the job you want:

By JG Côté

All Universities and Colleges have some level of employments services to help their students and graduates find work.  Often each faculty, department or program will have its own type of job acquiring assistance.  These services can range from arranging cooperatives between businesses and students, to actually finding career jobs relating to ones field of education.  As well, there usually is a main employment office that serves the institution as a whole and will have jobs opportunities advertised ranging from part-time employment to full time career opportunities relating to all fields of work.

Another great source at Universities and Colleges are the Professors and faculty staff.  Many of the Professors and Teachers have a large number of valuable contacts and can often put you in contact with the right people or even get you a job.  Sometimes the professor may even have a position for you himself/herself.  Professors usually want to help their students (new or old) get employment.
