When To Use A Job Seeker Calling Card

When to use a Job Seeker Calling Card is a very good question.  There are a number of ways that this job search tool can be used.  Below are a few of options for which a job seeker can use their Job Seeker Calling Card.

1. As A Calling Card

You waste time and effort if you visit a company and are not permitted to fill out an application form. But with a Job Seeker Calling Card you can leave the employer with more than a quickly fading memory. Simply leave your Job Seeker Calling Card with the person to whom you have been speaking with. You could say:

"Thank you very much, but I am really interested in working for this organization. Could you please keep this card on file for future reference? I will check with you again in a couple of weeks."

In this situation, your Job Seeker Calling Card intorduces you. It gives the employer a permanent record of your visit, even without an application. Also, it shows your initiative, interest and motivation.

Be sure to check back with the employers where you have left your card. Each visit will make you more familiar to the employer. Your second visit further emphasizes your interest and motivation. It could also give you a chance to become acquainted with the employer. This could definelty benefit you if you have an interview with that person.

2. As An Attachment To An Appication Form

When given an application form, fill it out; never use your Job Seeker Calling Card as a substitute for an application. Rather, attach your card to the upper right corner of your application with a paper clip or staple. This will set your application apart from the others. Carry some paper clips or a small stapler with your Job Seeker Calling Card when you visit various employers.

3. As A Business Card

Give a Job Seeker Calling Card to each of your references. These people will be able to use the information on your card to give you a good recommendation. Be generous in distributing your calling cards. If you are artisitic or creative use these talents also in the designing of your card. They will draw an employer's attention to you. Thus, they increase your chances of being chosen for an interview.

Remember, there are a large number of possible uses for a Job Seeker Calling Card. It is important for job seekers to use their calling card for as many purposes as possible and to hand it out to as many people and potential employers as possible.  The Job Seeker Calling Card is a great tool and resource that just about anyone can use if they understand how to use it.
